Toy Review: Pebble by Bellesa
When Bellesa (one of my favourite toy boutiques) sent me the Pebble and the AirVibe to review, I’ll admit I was mostly interested in the AirVibe. I thought I’d give pebble a try since it’s relatively small and uniquely designed, but I didn’t really give it too much thought.
WOW did I ever underestimate this toy. As usual, Bellesa knocked it out of the park designing this travel-friendly, super chic vibe!
Pebble is a palm-sized combination suction and classic vibrator. The suction nozzle is on the underside of the widest part of the body, which tapers towards a slim point. The shape reminds me of an adorable little seashell! In addition to being so ~aesthetique~ the shape is ergonomically designed; the idea is that you can hold the wider part of the toy in your palm and rest your index finger along the ridge. Usually I don’t really care for ergonomic designs, but I find this toy noticeably more comfortable to hold for long periods of time. It’s also quite thin and flat, making it easy to fit between bodies.
Pebble is covered in super soft silicone with a splash of rose gold chrome. The chrome breaks up the silicone visually and texturally, making the toy look and feel more luxurious.
Before moving on, we need to talk about the case, which doubles as the toy’s charger. WOW is Bellesa ever on it with the design elements. The millennial pink design gives me poké ball X Claire’s makeup compact X Polly Pocket carrier. This little case taps into the nostalgic ‘00s part of my brain and it is truly a blessing.
The case is so discreet that you can keep Pebble right on your nightstand and no one will be the wiser. However, the toy is not so discreet once you turn it on. Pebble is LOUD, but for good reason: it’s hella powerful. Pebble’s suction starts at a relatively high level of intensity - I’d say it’s similar to the 2nd setting on the Lelo Sona and the 4th setting on the Lora DiCarlo Baci. Don’t let it’s small size fool you - if you want power, Pebble delivers power.
Two separate buttons control the vibration and the suction. I find going in hot with the suction right away is a little too intense for me. I like to warm up by only turning on the vibration and running the pointed end up and down over my clit. After a few minutes of teasing I am READY for the power. I find that the combination of the suction and the vibration makes a huge difference. The stimulation is much more intense than suction or vibration alone, and I find that I orgasm much faster than usual.
Overall, this is a small, well-designed and truly adorable toy great for those looking for a lot of power. I truly believe that if we lived in a sex positive culture, Pebble would be a cult item on EVERY vagina-haver’s nightstand. However, if you like a more mellow, drawn out experience, Pebble is probably not for you.
